Grant opportunity for community groups supporting domestic abuse
An exciting grant call is now open for local community organisations who support victims of domestic abuse, including children, in Birmingham.
Following the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, Birmingham City Council was awarded £3.2m to address gaps in services. After undertaking a city-wide needs assessment, key areas have been identified, creating an opportunity to work in partnership with local community organisations to focus on three specific areas.
The three main Lots we are looking to fund (for 12 months only), for victims of domestic abuse and their children (if they have children), are as follows:
- Provision of support within safe accommodation
- Projects that fill gaps found in the needs assessment (these gaps are outlined more fully in the grant guidance)
- Projects that support prevention or early intervention
